Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) of the Supreme Council of Health participated in the Association for Medical Education in Europe "AMEE" annual Conference and the accompanying exhibition, at Glasgow, Scotland under the slogan "Inspire and be inspired".

The conference included a diverse range of educational activities comprising research and reporting, electronic posters, presentations and workshops which discussed the latest developments and innovations as well as international best practices in the field of medical education, with the presence of more than 3,000 experts and leaders of medical education.

The Accreditation Department, Qatar council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP-AD) in partnership with the Royal College Canada International had four presentations on National Health Strategy NHS 5.2.7 "Establishment of National CME/CPD Accreditation System and Framework for State of Qatar Health System." All the presentations were highly interactive and well received by the attending audience.

The QCHP-AD also exhibited a booth on the innovative CME/CPD framework and accreditation system developed by QCHP. The booth was visited by a large number of participants as well as many institutions and organizations involved in medical education who presented their interest in cooperation with the Accreditation Department. The visitors acknowledged the National CME/CPD Accreditation System as a unique system for all healthcare practitioners from different health sectors.

The conference provided an ideal opportunity to meet the global medical education community and a unique occasion for all participants to learn more about the most advanced topics in the field of medical education practices. It also gave an opportunity to communicate with medical education leaders from all sectors and countries, expanding network, partnership opportunities with well recognized healthcare organizations, and actively participate in building a better healthcare system.

It is worth mentioning that QCHP-AD is planning to launch the Mandatory CME/CPD Participation Policy for all licensed healthcare practitioners from public and private sectors to be a prerequisite for renewal of licensure from March 2016.
